Christchurch - Hotel SO
Want to give winter the cold shoulder? In New Zealand the weather is still good. And what’s more, it seems to be a top destination if you want more for less.
Air New Zealand just unveiled the first lie-down economy bed. And Hotel SO was named the Best Superior Hotel in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. With a room price of only 35 euro (single room) ($ 69 NZ).
Rooms at SO are architecturally designed with fresh colours, sweeping curves and clean lines. And include smart features like free wireless broadband, controllable mood lighting and a flat screen entertainment system.
For 2010 SO charges into eco-friendly solutions: Anyone with an electric car can plug their vehicle in for free overnight at the hotel. And they are planning a wind turbine on the roof too.
Price: 23 euro p.p.p.n. (double room)
